The law firm HAVEL & PARTNERS helped resolve what is likely the most significant inheritance dispute in recent years. Representing David and Roman Řípa, the sons of businessman František Řípa, and the Společnost pro spravedlivé dědictví (Society for Fair Inheritance), the legal team led by partner Jiří Kunášek participated in negotiating an agreement that, after more than five years, brought an end to the extensive inheritance proceedings among the heirs of the Karsit Group.
Throughout the process, HAVEL & PARTNERS represented František Řípa’s sons, David and Roman Řípa, and the Spolumajitelé group. The firm’s legal team was led by partner Jiří Kunášek, who specializes in resolving complex commercial and property disputes, including inheritance proceedings. Managing associates Marta Fantová Argalášová and Alice Nytrová, senior associate Daniel Doležal, associate Anna Rubriciusová, and junior associates Jana Cihlář Kalitičová and Kristýna Paulusová also contributed to the legal counsel.
The Karsit industrial group, based in Jaroměř in East Bohemia and focused on the production of stamped components for the automotive industry, was founded by East Bohemian entrepreneur František Řípa and his wife Alena Řípová in the early 1990s. Historically, the holding company built by the Řípa family also included other significant assets, such as the spa in Velichovky and the agricultural company Karsit Agro.
Following František Řípa’s death, a dispute over his estate arose, which was among the most complex property cases in recent years. In addition to the probate proceedings themselves, it involved a series of related civil and other proceedings concerning the operations of the Karsit Group. The surviving family members and heirs of František Řípa, a businessman from East Bohemia, have now reached an agreement on the settlement of the estate. The result is a comprehensive resolution of the relationships among the heirs.
HAVEL & PARTNERS has long provided legal counsel in resolving complex commercial, property, and inheritance disputes, including cases requiring strategic management of court proceedings and, at the same time, sensitive negotiations aimed at reaching an agreement.
