Marián Minárik is an associate and a member of the economic team at our law firm. Marián specialises in competition law and economics, in particular distribution agreements, cartels, abuse of dominance, mergers and acquisitions, state aid, regulation of network industries, damages. He practises in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
In the field of competition law, Marián participates in representing clients in proceedings before national competition authorities, courts and the European Commission. He also advises on compliance, including assessment of planned projects from the perspective of antitrust regulation, preparation of compliance programs and specialised training.
In the field of competition economics, Marián is involved in the preparation of comprehensive economic reports for the purposes of court and administrative proceedings, or commercial disputes. He has extensive experience in data collection, the use of quantitative techniques (econometrics), and preparation of economic analyses, e.g. in the energy, telecommunications and automotive sectors.
Marián is fluent in Slovak, Czech, English and German. He holds graduate degrees in Finance and in Law, both from Masaryk University in Brno. He also studied at universities in the United Kingdom and the USA. Prior to joining our law firm, Marián worked for the German law firm Noerr.
