David Krch is a founding partner of HAVEL & PARTNERS Tax s.r.o., which he founded under the corporate name TAX ADVISORY SERVICES s.r.o. more than 21 years ago after gaining ample practical experience in the tax department at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

David has long-standing practical experience in comprehensively representing foreign corporations doing business in the Czech Republic. He provides a full range of services to clients in respect of corporate income tax and value added tax (in local as well as international context), including representation of corporations with long-term presence in the Czech market, assistance with one-off projects, and due diligence upon entry of new investors to the Czech market. David has 25 years of experience in the area of taxation of foreign companies with long-term presence in the Czech Republic (out of that four years of practice in the tax department of PricewaterhouseCoopers).

David has also been instrumental in numerous projects involving mergers and acquisitions and their financing in the Czech Republic, in which he participated in collaboration with leading law firms in the Czech Republic on the buyers’ as well as the sellers’ side. Since 2000, he has been continuously involved in investment incentives, , where he has on a long-term basis represented major investors, mainly in the automotive industry; he actively cooperates in this area with CzechInvest, the Czech Ministry of Finance, and the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Industry-wise, David primarily focuses on automotive industry, pharmaceutical industry, electronic services and the media. He has for more than 20  years represented foreign automotive manufacturers in the Czech Republic, importers of 4 passenger car and 4 truck brands in the Czech market, financing (leasing) companies of car manufacturers, dealerships, and several primary manufacturers of automotive components. During his previous practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers and in his current practice, David also represents major pharmaceutical companies and their Czech branches in all areas of taxation. He also provides day-to-day comprehensive advice to a major TV company, and to a major player in the field of online intermediation of services.

David is also involved in the work of the Tax Litigation team. As part of this practice, he served as an expert witness in the field of VAT fraud at the London Court of International Arbitration. 

In addition, David occasionally lectures at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of the University of Economics (VAT) and at the Faculty of Law of Charles University (tax law practice).
