Adam Forst has extensive experience in complex litigation and arbitration proceedings. He specializes particularly in the area of damages and financial services, while also successfully representing clients across a broad spectrum of other industries – from real estate and construction, through labor law, healthcare, and sports, to corporate disputes.
A significant part of his practice involves representing leading Czech insurance companies and insurance intermediaries, for whom he has managed a number of key strategic disputes with major regulatory and commercial implications.
Adam is also active in the developing field of class actions in the Czech Republic; he was directly involved in the legislative process leading to the adoption of the new Act on Class Civil Proceedings.
Academically, he lectures on damages and insurance law at the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno and at the Judicial Academy in Kroměříž. He also serves as an arbitrator at the Arbitration Court attached to the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic.
Before joining our law firm, he worked for Česká pojišťovna and Generali pojišťovna. In 2012 and 2013, he worked at the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic, where he was responsible for the agenda relating to the new Civil Code and the Business Corporations Act.
