Robert Porubský specialises in energy law, and mergers and acquisitions.

He has developed extensive experience in M&A transactions in various industries, acting as counsel to sellers and purchasers alike. Robert has been instrumental in a large number of the most sizable transactions completed in the Czech Republic.

In energy law, Robert has wide-ranging experience relating to both conventional and renewable energy resources, including the construction and designing of energy generation facilities, and representing clients before Czech courts and public administration authorities, and international arbitration tribunals.

He has published a large number of articles in Czech as well as international law journals and publications with a particular focus on energy law.

Before joining our law firm, Robert worked for a leading international law firm for almost eight years.

  • Advising shareholders and legal representation of them in shareholder disputes exceeding CZK 50 million
  • Advising foreign investors from the energy sector in relation to the international protection of their investments before an international arbitration tribunal in respect of claims exceeding CZK 3 billion
  • Advising a major multinational energy company in relation to the process of unbundling and legal representation of the company before Czech courts in disputes arising from the process, including a squeeze-out
  • Advising foreign investors from the energy sector in relation to the recycling of solar panels
  • Advising an industrial company and legal representation of the company before an international arbitration court in a dispute over importing industrial commodities
