Practice Areas

Ivana specialises primarily in intellectual property law, specifically in the field of patents in organic and inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacochemistry and related fields. She also specialises in the supplementary protection certificates for medicinal products and plant protection products.

Ivana graduated from the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, Faculty of Chemical Technology, majoring in organic chemistry; she also studied postgraduate studies in organic chemistry at the same university. In 2000, she completed a specialisation study at the Industrial Property Training Institute at the Industrial Property Office and subsequently became a patent attorney and a European patent attorney.

Prior to joining our law firm in 2023, Ivana had worked for a specialised law and patent firm since 1997, first as a patent expert, then as a patent attorney, and in recent years she has been mainly involved in the agenda and coordination of validation of European patents in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2022, she was a partner in that firm.
