Marek Brada specialises in information technology law, intellectual property law, personal data protection and data regulation, e‑commerce and digital platform regulation, as well as related advisory services in M&A transactions. In these areas, he regularly supports clients in day-to-day operational issues and in implementing major projects and investments both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Marek is also active in lecturing (IT, game development, AI) and pro bono initiatives, including the Advokáti do škol initiative and mentoring startups.

Prior to joining HAVEL & PARTNERS, he worked at international law firms and as an in-house counsel for one of Central Europe’s largest media groups.

Marek graduated from the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno (Mgr., 2020) and completed an Erasmus+ study program at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia (2019).

Advising technology companies (SMEs, game publishers/developers, startups, and scale-ups) from seed and Series A/B financing through international expansion to exit.
Advising investors and targets on IT and IP due diligence in international M&A transactions, focusing on technology assets, data management, and e‑commerce law.
Advising a major e‑pharma player on IT compliance and intellectual property, including GDPR, the Digital Services Act, and NIS 2.
Educational activities in AI and technology – lectures at Game Days, workshops on the EU AI Act, and a guest lecture at the Asian Institute of Management in Manila.
