Kamila Kulhánková specialises in the public sector, in particular public procurement law, with a strong focus on architectural and urban design contests.

In the field of public procurement, she provides comprehensive legal advice to both contracting authorities and suppliers, supporting them in the preparation of award procedures, as well as throughout their process, and in subsequent stages.

Her core expertise lies in design contests in all their forms, both in the public and private sectors, including national and international contests. Kamila is involved in their comprehensive preparation and organisation.  In various roles — as contest secretary or legal adviser — she has taken part in more than twenty contests over the past ten years.

A significant part of her practice also involves negotiated procedures without prior publication that follow design contests, in which she represents both contracting authorities and architects.  At this stage, Kamila focuses primarily on negotiating the draft contract and setting contractual terms so that they reflect the design entry while ensuring its high‑quality implementation.

She also provides comprehensive legal advice to architects and design teams throughout the entire design contest process — from deciding whether to participate, through supporting the preparation of design entries and communication with the contracting authority, to handling subsequent contractual relationships.
