Jakub Klodwig is an expert in information technology law. He specialises in data protection, cybersecurity, ePrivacy, cloud computing, and online marketing regulation. Jakub has experience with GDPR implementation in large international companies as well as in many smaller and medium-sized enterprises. He has also been involved in large projects in information systems development, software procurement, and building critical IT infrastructure.
Jakub graduated in law from Masaryk University in Brno, but he also gained experience during a six-month exchange stay in the United States and a research internship at IDC Herzlyia in Israel. In addition to earning his JUDr. degree in Information Technology Law, Jakub is also a Ph.D. student at the Institute of Law and Technology at Masaryk University in Brno, where he regularly teaches and supervises LL.M. theses.
Before starting to work as an associate again, Jakub worked at the National Office for Cyber and Information Security (NÚKIB), where he was involved in drafting and implementing cybersecurity regulation. Moreover, he has experience in the private sector, having worked as a corporate lawyer at Rossum, a successful Czech AI startup. Jakub has also worked on numerous research projects such as the CyberSecurity, CyberCrime and Critical Information Infrastructures Center of Excellence (C4e). Jakub is a frequent speaker and author of publications, and besides professional forums, he also gave a TEDx Talk in 2023. With Nugis Finem Publishing, he has recently published his own Handbook of Cloud Computing Regulation and co-authored, with a team from PwC, the Practical Commentary on the Data Processing Act.
