Dalibor Kovář specialises in electronic juridical acts and the related digital transformation in the legal field, information technology, innovation and future industries, intellectual property law, cybersecurity, and contract law. In addition to providing legal services, he also acts as Innovation Partner and leads the in-house innovation team responsible for AI and automation.
In the area of digital transformation, he focuses primarily on the implementation of appropriate principles of electronic juridical acts in public as well as private organisations, utilisation of electronic identity, and their legal sustainability. He assists with the practical and strategic development of digital solutions for the Czech market and is involved in establishing technology partnerships. In this context, he links the legal, procedural and technological aspects of AI adoption and automation – including setting up safe and controlled use of AI within organisations. In recent years, he has participated as a representative of the professional community in the preparation of key digitisation legislation (eGovernment) and the commentary to the Right to Digital Services Act.
In the field of information technology, he primarily focuses on the legal regulation of the use of innovative technologies and future industries in general and specifically in the financial sphere, advising on complex technology transactions, commercialisation of technology solutions, prevention of cyber incidents and taking and follow-up measures, and support of technology partnerships. He has a long-standing interest in legal issues surrounding artificial intelligence, including the impacts of AI regulation and governance, setting internal rules and managing the risks of practical deployment of AI tools.
In contract law, he has consistently attended to the drafting of specific and complex commercial documents, including contracts with international aspects, and analysis of complex contractual relationships. As part of internal innovation, he focuses on increasing the efficiency of legal work through AI and automation, measuring the impact of innovation, and supporting the development of AI competencies across the firm.
Before joining our law firm, he had worked for several years at a major Czech law firm and for a year at the then largest French law firm, Gide.
